Takahashi’s influences for this collection are deeply rooted in the contrast between the metallic, futuristic vision of The Line and the natural, arid landscapes of the desert. The use of rectangular metallic sequins, hand-applied to CFCL’s signature dense knits, introduces a sparkling dynamism to the collection, echoing the metallic nature of The Line’s urban vision.

The collection was presented at the Palais de Tokyo’s haute galerie, an apt choice for a collection that bridges the gap between art, technology, and fashion. The venue was adorned with delicate aluminum houseplants by Japanese artist Toshihiko Mitsuya, further emphasizing the metallic theme and the dialogue between the natural and the artificial.
